Departure from Marrakech: Early morning departure from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Tizi n'Tichka Pass: Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, with opportunities to stop for photos. Ait Benhaddou: Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified city. Ouarzazate: Stop in Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Sahara." Visit the Taourirt Kasbah and possibly the film studios. Skoura Oasis: Continue through the Skoura Oasis, known for its beautiful kasbahs. Valley of Roses: Pass through the Valley of Roses, famous for its rosewater products. Dades Gorge: Arrive in Dades Gorge in the late afternoon or evening. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or guesthouse in Dades Gorge.

Journey to Merzouga: Continue the journey through the arid landscapes, passing through Berber villages. Erfoud and Rissani: Quick stops in Erfoud (known for fossils) and Rissani (a traditional market town). Merzouga: Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon. Hotel Stay: Check into your hotel in Merzouga. Relax, enjoy dinner, and possibly take a short walk in the dunes to watch the sunset.
