Departure from Marrakech: Early morning departure from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Tizi n'Tichka Pass: Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, with opportunities to stop for photos. Ait Benhaddou: Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified city. Ouarzazate: Stop in Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Sahara." You can visit the Taourirt Kasbah and film studios if time permits. Skoura Oasis: Continue through the Skoura Oasis, known for its beautiful kasbahs. Valley of Roses: Pass through the Valley of Roses, famous for its rosewater products. Dades Gorge: Arrive in Dades Gorge in the late afternoon or evening. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or guesthouse in Dades Gorge.
Breakfast: Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation. Todra Gorge: Drive to Todra Gorge, one of the most spectacular canyons in the world. Take a walk through the gorge. Journey to Merzouga: Continue the journey through the arid landscapes, passing through Berber villages. Erfoud and Rissani: Quick stops in Erfoud (known for fossils) and Rissani (a traditional market town). Merzouga: Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon. Prepare for the desert experience. Camel Trek: Take a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Desert Camp: Arrive at a Berber desert camp. Enjoy dinner, traditional music, and an overnight stay in a tent under the stars.
